Taken from the hide at Kelham Bridge in Leicestershire.
Taken from the hide at Kelham Bridge in Leicestershire.
A timid bird not accustomed to spending a lot of time in the open, This one crept slowly from the cover of the reeds, grabbed something to eat, and shot back into cover within seconds, as the time went on however, it grew slightly more confident and stayed in the open for up to 30 seconds at a time!
There were several pairs of Rail in evidence during the day. but only showed clearly at this one spot, some 20 feet from the hide.
