Blashford Lakes HWT; Febrauary 22nd 2019

BLASHFORD LAKES

Hampshire Wildlife Trust, Blashford

Blashford Lakes is an excellent reserve on the edge of the New Forest north of Ringwood. It consists of 2 separate lakes and a small woodland hide. At the time of this visit the hides at one of the lakes were under reconstruction so not available. These images are all from the Woodland Hide, with one from the hide on the other lake... if you look closely there is a Bittern hiding in the reeds... he stood there for an age unmoving, seen only by an occasional flutter of the reeds!!
