New Forest Wildlife Centre 25th June 2018

New Forest Wildlife Centre

Located near Ashford in the New Forest, formerly known as the Otter and Owl Centre, the park specialises in mammals in the UK and species which became extinct here many generations ago...

The collection tends to be variable as they often take in injured or orphaned animals, often to be re-released into the wild when appropriate.

Always a good day out but recent years have seen more development in children's activities rather than developing the wildlife side. Not necessarily a good direction... but the park does still get involved in research and breeding programmes...
