Marwell Zoo
Marwell Zoo in Hampshire covers a large area with some very large paddocks accessible by a number of species, representing the African plains/ However appealing this is in so many ways it can lead to the animals being quite a long way from the public, while some other antelope species appear to be restricted to relatively small enclosures, with mainly hard surfaces.
What is noticeable however is that, like most zoos, there is a lot of work ongoing all to enhance the animal accommodation.
The zoo features a huge and magnificent beautifully landscaped tropical house with a range of species, the problem is it is so authentic that the heat makes it almost impossible to stay in there for long enough to appreciate it!
