Twycross Zoo: 19th April 2021

TWYCROSS ZOO
19th April 2021

First visit for many months on re-opening... so easy to get carried away taking photographs.
Here is the first of two selections covering the various species seen

Amur Leopard
Seriously endangered species... it is thought there are now more animals in zoos around the world than in the wild

Meerkat

Lowland Tapir

Humboldts Penguin

This one is the female. Both animals have seemed to be agoraphobic and rarely appear outside their indoor quarters... this day both came outside, though stayed partly hidden behind the stout rails
