Buzzard over Croft Hill Quarry: 2nd June 2021

Croft Hill Quarry is a huge working quarry first worked by the Romans and scheduled to be worked until the year 2050. It is thought to be the biggest man made crater in Europe.

It is a breeding area for Buzzard which hunt over the grass slopes surrounding the quarry and inside. This post is basically of  a Buzzard in flight, but it was a working day so there are a couple of photos of work in action at the start
