GREY HERON
Taken at Brandon Marsh Nature Centre outside Coventry.
The Heron seems to thrive at Brandon Marsh and there are usually several showing around the edges of the big lake, giving great views most of the time.
Brandon Marsh is a lovely reserve centred on several lakes and pools with shady wooded tracks linking them. In spring home to countless frogs, and more often than not you will see a Kingfisher on one of the smaller lakes, they rarely get very close though and you are looking straight into the sun at them after around midday...
The reserve also boast a rather nice café....
