Always love to go to Brownsea Island, and always stay in thew Dorset Wildlife Trust Nature Reserve.This paericular trip was not great for the birds, but nonetheless a lovely day for everything else. The fog even gave way to sun shortly after landing!!

Brownsea Island

For me the trip to Brownsea Island is purely for the Dorset Wildlife Trust Nature Reserve on the eastern end of the Island. It hosts a variety of waders, ducks and seabirds, and in summer is a major breeding ground for Sandwich Terns. Throughout the year however, there are Red Squirrel... Brownsea is one of the last places in the UK to see them...
